How to choose pump for HVAC sysatem
1.chilled pump : a device that drives water to circulate in a frozen water loop. The end of the air conditioning room (such as fan coil, air handling unit, etc.) needs cold water provided by the chiller , but cold water doesn't flow naturally because of resistance , This requires the pump to drive the freezing water to cycle to achieve the purpose of heat exchange .
2. Cooling pump : a device that drives water to circulate in a cooling water loop . Cooling water takes the refrigerant part of the heat after entering the chiller , then flow to the cooling tower to release the heat . The cooling pump is responsible for driving the cooling water cycle in the closed loop of the unit and the cooling tower , it's the same shape as the chilled pump.
3. feed water pump : the air conditioner is used for filling water , It is responsible for conveying the treated softening water to the circulatory system .
The common water pump has a horizontal centrifugal pump and a vertical centrifugal pump, they can all be used in Freezing water system, cooling water system and water filling system. The horizontal centrifugal pump can be used in the large area of the machine room , the vertical centrifugal pump can be used in a small area . When the pump is running in parallel, the water flow will decrease . We suggest when choosing multiple pumps, we need to think about the decay of the water flow, Generally additional 5% ~ 10% margin fo water , no more then 3 pumps in parallel , Large and medium sized projects should set up the cold water circulating pump separately , the chilled pump, the number of chilled water pump and cooling water pump should correspond with the Air conditioning refrigeration main engine , and one for backup .
